System Upgrade

SECU's Upcoming Technology Upgrade

We have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare for an upgrade to our bank operating system, going live October 27, 2025.

At SLB Employees Credit Union, we have a commitment to provide our members with the best possible tools to manage finances while maintaining a standard of high integrity and security. In order to leverage innovative technologies and implement a streamlined banking experience that is safe and efficient, an upgrade to our technology is required. This upgrade enhances security and fraud protection, keeping your personal information and accounts safe with the latest ID verification and monitoring technology.

As with most major system upgrades, there will be some planned service interruptions to facilitate this process. We apologize in advance for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience during this process.

How to Prepare

Update Information

Make sure your contact details are current so you receive important updates throughout the upgrade process.

Please review and update:

Mailing address, phone number, and email addresses.

You can update your information through your Net24 Online Banking prior to October 24th.

Bill Pay

The Bill Pay feature will be unavailable during the Go Live weekend of October 25th and 26th. Any transaction already scheduled will pay as planned. Any payment with a payment date of Friday, October 24th or Monday, October 27th will need to be scheduled by 5:00pm on Thursday, October 23rd. 

Wire Transfers

Consider saving the information stored from previous wire transfers. View "previous wires" in your Net24 wires history and make note of your beneficiary's bank and account information. The upgrade will not carry over stored wires information. All new wire requests will need to be re-entered. The "reuse wire" function will be available after sending a wire for the first time in the upgraded system.

After Upgrade

Account Numbers

A member will have only one membership number. If you currently have more than one member number, all of your accounts will be consolidated under one member number. This will be your oldest member number where you are the primary member.

Your account format will be changing. However, everything else will remain the same, including: Net24 login, checks, debit card, direct deposit, and ACH withdrawals. All existing ACH transactions, including direct deposit, will not be affected. Any new ACH transactions, including direct deposit, will need to be set up using your new account number.

Checks, Debit Cards, and Credit Cards

Your existing checks, debit cards, and credit cards will continue to work after our system upgrade. Your Personal Identification Numbers (PINS) will also remain unaffected.

Direct Deposit, ACH Transfers, and Automatic Payments

Your direct deposits, ACH transfers, and automatic payments will continue as scheduled. Any new direct deposits will need to be set up with the new account number structure. Existing direct deposits do not need to be re-entered.

Certificates and Loans

Current certificate and loan terms, as well as any payment due dates will remain the same.

Statements

You will receive two statements for October. Your first statement will be for the time period 10/01/2025 - 10/24/2025 and your second statement will be for the time period 10/25/2025 - 10/31/2025.  

Dividends

Dividends and interest will be paid prior to the upgrade for the time period 10/01/2025 - 10/24/2025.  Dividends and interest will also be paid for the time period 10/25/2025 - 10/31/2025.  These dividend and interest payments will be reflected on the statement you receive for the applicable period.

Debit Cards

DO NOT destroy your current debit cards. You will continue to use your current cards. From October 25th through October 26th there will be reduced ATM withdrawal and point-of-sale limits (purchases).

During the upgrade we will be unable to increase debit card transaction limits for large purchases, please plan ahead for any transaction you may expect while the upgrade is taking place. If you anticipate needing cash during the upgrade timeframe, consider withdrawing it ahead of October 25th.

Net24 Online Banking

Will not be available after 4:30pm CT on October 24th until October 27th.

Net24 Mobile App

Will not be available after 4:30pm CT on October 24th until October 27th.

  • Why is SLB Employees Credit Union making this change?
    This technology upgrade is a key advancement for SECU and our members, delivering improved security, enhanced services, and greater banking convenience. It strengthens our systems today while paving the way for future improvements in security, reliability, and efficiency.


  • Will the credit union be open during the time of the system upgrade?
    We are conducting the conversion during the weekend of October 25th & 26th. Net24 Online and Mobile Banking access will be unavailable during this weekend. Our lobby and online services will resume normal hours of operation on Monday, October 27th. You can find our hours of operation on our technology update website, www.secutx.com/techupdate. You will still have access to your accounts at the Sugar Land branch, as well as through 5,000+ CO-OP Shared Branch locations and worldwide Allpoint ATM access.

  • Will I be able to access my account during the time of the system upgrade?
    No, all online and mobile access will be unavailable during the upgrade Go-Live weekend of October 25th through 26th. Net24 Mobile and Online Banking services will be back up and running on Monday, October 27th, and our lobby will be open regular hours.
     
  • Are my accounts safe and secure?
    Yes, your accounts and personal information are secure. Protecting your data is a top priority for SECU. Our new system uses the latest advancements in data security, and your funds are federally insured by the NCUA up to $250,000 per share account.

  • What can we expect after the upgrade?
    All services and access will resume availability on Monday, October 27, 2025. While member facing impact is expected to be minimal (there will be some visible changes to our improved Net24 Online Banking platform). There will be some downtime to the Net24 Online Banking and mobile platforms during the Go-Live weekend, October 25th through October 26th. You will be able to access your accounts online on Monday, October 27th.
     
  • Will my direct deposit be affected?
    Your existing direct deposit will not be affected, but any new direct deposits will need to be set up with the new account number format.

     
  • How will dividends be paid?
    Following the technology upgrade, dividends will be paid with a Daily Balance method. Dividends will be calculated on each day's ending balance, then all daily dividends will be added together to determine total dividends for the month. Dividends will be paid monthly following the technology upgrade.

     
  • Will my wire transfers be affected?
    Any recurring wire transfer will continue as scheduled. If you utilize the recurring wires transfer feature, you will need to re-enter your beneficiary's banking and account details again the first time you send a wire after the upgrade. After that, the "previous wires" feature will work again as expected. We suggest you make note of your beneficiary's banking and account details prior to the upgrade.
